Midding, Milk, Basic State & Rainyday Rainbow at Jacobs Basement, Cardiff

No Poetry Music returns to Cardiff for a night of fuzz, feedback, and full-bodied chaos, this time buried beneath Jacobs Antique Market, in the legendary Jacobs Basement. Expect sweat on the ceiling, pedals on the floor, and four of South Wales’ best noise-makers in one low-lit room.

Midding: Formerly Clwb Fuzz, this Cardiff five-piece conjures wobbly lo-fi psychedelic rock charm with a post-apocalyptic shimmer. Their debut EP Nowhere Near Today drifts between The Beach Boys and The Stooges, all washed in static and heartbreak.

Milk: Welsh psych-rockers The Biggest Thing Since Powdered Milk have been fermenting fast. Their live sets swing from Sabbath-soaked metal to syrupy ‘70s funk, stitched together by wild improvisation and raw groove. Strange, sweaty, and unapologetically loud.

Basic State: Hypnotic psych-indie energy from Cardiff’s new rock romantics. Think The Verve and Fontaines D.C. shaking hands in a smoke-filled dive bar; reverb, swagger, and heart.

Rainyday Rainbow: Psychedelic punk doom served with a grin. One of Cardiff’s most unpredictable live acts, delivering a kaleidoscopic collision of chaos, colour, and catharsis.
