Nine years of noise
Since 2016, No Poetry has been putting on gigs for original artists in South Wales, the West Midlands, and the South West. What started in Hereford as a reaction to a scene dominated by cover bands has grown into a network of events, artists, and venues that care about live music.
We’ve put on hundreds of shows and worked with hundreds of artists. Some became regulars, some played once and moved on. Either way, they’re all part of this.

Hundreds of events across South Wales, West Midlands, andthe South West. A weekly residency at North Star Cardiff with Local, Live, Loud Tuesdays. Ticketed showcases at Boho Cardiff, Jacobs Basement, and beyond. Festival collaborations connecting underground talent with bigger stages. Artist development supporting emerging acts from first gigs to headline slots. A massive amount of noise.

No Poetry Promotions launched in Hereford with DIY gigs and charity events. The goal was simple: create space for original music in a scene saturated with covers.

The name changed, the reach expanded. We started connecting South Wales, the West Midlands, and Bristol, working with more venues and more artists.
The world stopped and the venues closed. We embarked on academic pursuits while we waited it out, and came back when we could with BA degrees in Music Business and Popular & Commercial Music
Cardiff became our home base. Live, Local, Loud Tuesdays at North Star became a weekly thing. We’ve built partnerships with a range of venues and took over music at DOTF Festival. We’ve sold out shows, launched merch, and kept going.
