No Poetry Music is a promoter, booking agency, and events collective based in Cardiff, supporting original alternative music across South Wales, the West Midlands, and the South West. We’ve been running gigs since 2016, starting in Hereford and expanding into a network of venues, artists, and events that prioritise live music over everything else.
We run regular events across multiple venues, from free-entry weekly shows to ticketed showcases and festival collaborations. Our focus is on creating opportunities for emerging and established artists to play in front of audiences who actually listen.
Local, Live, Loud is our weekly residency at North Star in Cardiff, now in collaboration with our good friends at Moomajoo Music and HeardItHereFirst. Free entry, original music, and a rotating lineup of local and out-of-town acts. It’s become a fixture in the Cardiff scene and a testing ground for new artists.
Ticketed shows happen at venues like Boho Cardiff and Jacobs Basement, featuring touring bands, and headline acts with strong local followings and carefully curated support lineups.
Festival collaborations connect underground talent with bigger stages. We’ve worked with festivals and larger events to bring alternative artists into spaces they wouldn’t normally access. Presently, we look after the programming, booking and stage management of Down On The Farm Festival in Herefordshire.
Artist management and booking is something we’re expanding throughout 2026. We currently work with a small roster of artists, handling bookings and representation, and we’re building that side of the operation. If you’re an artist looking for management or agency representation, we’re open to conversations.
We also support artist development, helping bands move from their first gigs to headline slots. That means fair pay, proper promotion, and treating artists like collaborators, not content.
